IMS Founded – Partnership for Industrial Supplies with global relations.
Incorporation as a private limited liability company on 22nd May 1984 and obtaining Custom House Agents license.
Agency relationship with Fermenish S.A Switzerland.
Development of export markets for coconut fiber, rubberized coir mattresses.
Agency distributorship for Eastman Chemicals USA
Acquired a brush factory to produce Thawashi brushes, Deck brushes Ekels and Brooms.
Strategical expansion to market "Cryovac" specialty food packaging of W R Grace USA.
Established agency relationship with Southern Edible Oil Industries Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia, for edible fats for food industry.
Coir Brush production facility at Pannala industrial Estate to cater the Export Agreement with Yatsua Japan.
Incorporated Islandwide Scientific Services Pvt Ltd to serve the needs of scientific Research Community.
Collaborative Laboratory with Cornel Research Foundation USA, for Bio prospecting and research on Ethenobotany of Sri Lanka. Incorporated Pan Serendib Pvt Ltd for vacuum salt import for food industry.
Pioneered the bio pesticides, and registered NeemAzal with the Registrar of Pesticide.
Established two warehouses for raw material inventories and distribution.
Registered Troy biocides & commenced sales of high performance additives of Troy Corporation USA. Establish Serendib Natural Products Ltd. (SNaPL) to research & commercialize biological controls.Founder Membership of European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
Acquired Puttalam Salt Ltd. at the privatization of the government owned saltern by the formation of a consortium with banks. Firmenich S A to establish own liaison office and termination of agency agreement.
Managed & reengineered Puttalam Salt Ltd to make it a high profit generating business.
Developed and commercialized a pheromone for Tea Tortrix. Launched two pheromones for Vegetable fly and Fruit fly.
Introduced new packaging concept of Sealed Air Corporation USA to poultry and meat processing industry.
Received Best Research Presentation Award for the research of pheromone for Tea Tortrix from, University of Zagazig Cairo & Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt. Signed MOU with Hubaei Coporation China to serve transport industry in Sri Lanka.
Distributor agency agreement for personal care raw materials with Noveon Inc USA.
Agency agreement to supply twine & yarn of Toray Industries Inc of Japan to cater Fishery, glove & textile industries.
Supplied 15 numbers of Diesel Multiple Units from of Hubei Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corp., China. Celebrated the 20 years anniversary of Islandwide Marketing Services.
Formation of IMS Holdings Pvt. Ltd for strategically grouping of expanding business. Recognizes strategic importance of energy and IMS holdings PVT Ltd undertook the study on energy and sugar milling.
Established distributor agency for Larand Chemical Corporation of USA.Expansion of market territory to Male', India, Bangladesh & Pakistan for Chemicals.Received the Best Sales Award from Troy Corporation USA for Biocide sales. Initiated collaborative research on pheromones with Dr. Alan Cork of University of Greenwich.
Cabinet memorandum to establish a sugar & power project and signed a MOU with Booker Tate, UK for the feasibility & finance raising. Established distributor agent relationship with BYK GmbH Germany.
